The DOORS of DECEPTION BIOGRAPHY

  The Doors of Deception is a rock and roll tribute band formed in appreciation of the great music of Jim Morrison and the Doors. Founder and band leader Bob Bond (Vocals) with sons Zach (Bass) and Max (Drums) have teamed up with Mike Dell (Keyboards) and John Kneeland (Guitar) to create some astonishing renditions of many of the great songs from the enormous repertoire of Doors music. 

  Capturing the essence and reproducing the vocals as accurately as possible is important to Bob as the lead vocalist and Doors enthusiast, and the result is apparent as show after show he continues to powerfully deliver the vocals on a growing number great songs by the Doors.

  Keyboards are an integral part of the Doors sound, and the Doors of Deception keyboards are fueled by Berkeley School of Music graduate Mike Dell. Mike Dell has gained a new respect for the music of the Doors and its complexity and he does a masterful job helping to re-create the sound of the Doors each night with the Doors of Deception.

  Lead guitarist John Kneeland has been playing guitar since he was a kid, never taking a formal lesson.  John truly "speaks with his guitar", and has a refreshing ability to create familiar melodies with a memorable and unique tone and style that can be completely mesmerizing and enjoyable.

  Drumming on a full-sized drum set since the age of 6, and now in his early teens the Doors of Deception drummer Max Bond possesses a natural backbeat with an uncanny ability to retain complicated arrangements. Max is the backbone of the rhythm section, completing the musical chemistry only found between brothers.

  Bassist Zach Bond keeps the bottom end of the rhythm section together, and the musical chemistry mentioned between Zach on bass and younger brother Max on drums creates a formidable foundation for this band. Zach has been playing for a number of years and studied music at Berkeley.
